I love the "Getting to Know you worksheet." It's so important for teachers to get to know their students in the beginning of the year. They not only need to know their background academically, but also their personal backgrounds. A teacher should learn students' interests and hobbies. This way she can better relate material and curriculum to her student's experiences, making it easier to understand and meaningful.

Similar to the Busy Teacher Cafe website, this website has great graphic organizers as well. Since so many students struggle with learning the fundamentals of writing, I'm always looking for ways to help them understand how a paragraph and writing works. This graphic organizer I would definitely use!

One of the main goals of most of my teachers in school, which will also be one of mine is to help students learn to think critically. These brain teasers are a great way to challenge students to think outside the box and begin to think critically about what they are learning and beyond. It is an important duty and responsibility of the teacher to help her students begin to think outside the box and not just accept something for face value.
